Guru Maharaj said, “This time my coming is to be amused and amuse the others.” The pundits perhaps will explain this in various ways. But we, the stupid persons, obviously saw that how God Swami Paramananda amused the devotees who were present to Him and He Himself was also amused. Especially, during the night sitting in Ajimgunj Paramananda Mission or if the outsider devotees were not present in the ashram or if the outsider devotees were present in a small number, then Guru Maharaj was seen engrossing Himself in a free, happy mood with the local boys and girls. The days which Guru Maharaj spent in Ajimgunj Ashram, those joyful days were spent in what way – it was difficult to explain. Many villagers of the village Mahinagar perhaps thought why the young boys and girls came rushing in this way? They once bowed down their heads to Guru Maharaj and went away- they could do just this!!!

But who got enjoyment, who involved in amusement – he or she was surely unable to keep him/her away. Were the Gopis from Brindaban able? They did not leave their homes. They did not also leave their families. They maintained their husband, son and others, family, household… everything. But just they heard the tune of flute, immediately they rushed!! Then they would care no one!! We noticed the practical of Brindaban dalliance – here to Guru Maharaj in Ajimgunj Paramananda Mission.

You, the readers, think… Guru Maharaj held sitting and amused the devotees in Ajimgunj night after night from 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. or 3 a.m., sometimes upto 4 a.m. or 4:30 a.m. The devotees who were present in the sitting did their own duties all the day from the next morning. Is this not an amazing fact? I heard from Nagen, N’Kaka and others that in the early days of His coming at Banagram Guru Maharaj held sitting night after night just like Ajimgunj. All the devotees who were present in the night sitting did their duties also the next day. But no one felt fatigue in their duties. Nagen then cultivated lands – he then worked too hard. He tilled, turned the soil over with the spade etc. in the field but he faced no problems or he felt no fatigue although he awoke all the night. What is this to be said? It is to be said God’s dalliance in the human body. What is to be said except this!!!

I noticed at night sitting in Ajimgunj that everyone was not able to accept fun made by Guru Maharaj – many of the devotees started to dose. Just Guru Maharaj noticed this, He shouted, “Hey, you (called his/her name) go to bed and sleep. Stand up…stand up. He/she then lost the licence to stay in the room. In the dalliance of Mother Jagadamba (creator of dalliance), sometimes it was seen that many of the devotees perhaps started to leave the room one by one. Sometimes it happened that Guru Maharaj perhaps identified 4/5 devotees and ordered them to leave the room but it was noticed that more 10/12 devotees left the room (because they felt sleep but they did not leave the room due to shame). It was seen after 30 minutes more that one or two devotees were leaving the room at irregular intervals. At 2:30/ 3 a.m., there were only 15/20 devotees in the room instead of 50/ 60 devotees. Suddenly Guru Maharaj said to us, “Hey, notice who is in the ground floor? Tell him to prepare 20 cups of coffee.” As always Jagannath Daa was ready with boiling water. Mixing the Amul milk (one kind powdered milk) into the hot water, he prepared the coffee within only 5 minutes and soon he became present to Guru Maharaj taking a kettle of hot coffee in his hand. Guru Maharaj said to Tapi Maa, “You notice what snack is in my room or a packet of good biscuits. If sandesh (one kind of sweets) is in the room, bring that also here.” Tapi Maa rushed. One devotee perhaps accompanied her. Within few minutes, various packets were brought there. This time Guruji Himself served all those foods to the devotees by His own hand. He Himself also ate something. After then He started to sip the coffee and making a satisfying sound He said that time, “The persons who stay for the last moment, they get something special.”

Ok, you, the readers, reply…why Guru Maharaj went to Manik Babu’s quarters at dark night? He could go direct to Ajimgunj Paramananda Mission. We asked Him about this matter. Then He replied to us, ” I casually thought that Manik usually does his duty till late night. So, I meet him once. The staff members of his office said to me that he just went to his quarters. So, I thought I go to him to have a cup of hot tea or coffee in this bitter cold. After then, I shall go to Ajimgunj Ashram.” Swami Paramananda was just such a person. He was not an ordinary guru – He was friend, companion, father, mother, brother.
