We were talking about Swami Tapeshwarananda Maharaj. That time we saw that Maharaj cleaned the place around Guruji’s cottage, planted various new trees, nurtured the trees and saplings which were already planted – from day to evening with the help of spade, hoe etc. That time Guruji took His seat in the sitting in the south of His room. In the left side of His room ( in case of us, it was right side), so that Guru Maharaj could do His sitting in the sun in winter – Swami Tapeshwarananda Maharaj made a round sized place, made of meadow grasses – he planted many flower shrubs around this meadow place. There were only meadow grasses in this round sized place – he uprooted the rest of the grasses with the help of hoe. To please Guru Maharaj, his sincerity in work was incomparable. Maharaj learnt stick game, sword game, martial art during his staying in Bharat Sevashram Sangha. Every now and then, at midnight Guru Maharaj practised stick game with him. Swami Tapeshwarananda Maharaj taught Swami Basudebananda Maharaj as well as someones and then ashram boys stick game, yoga and various physical styles. During the annual programme of ashram – several times the ashram boys, directed by Swami Tapeshwarananda Maharaj, showed Guru Maharaj and the audience, present there, various physical styles and made them pleased.
Now, I am telling an incident. Oneday, Maharaj was working in the garden – the evening was almost nearby. Guru Maharaj entered His room. ( During the evening prayer, He strolled outside coming out of His room.) Swami Tapeshwarananda Maharaj noticed that a minor girl was roaming around Guruji’s closed room. Several times, Maharaj drew the girl towards him and asked her why she was doing this. But the girl paid no attention towards Maharaj. Usually, Maharaj joined the evening prayer but Maharaj thought that this sceptical girl might harm Guru Maharaj. For this reason, Maharaj was waiting in the garden pretending that he was working.
The evening came down. Then in Banagram if the moon was not seen in the sky after the evening, it meant completely dark. (Because there was no electricity in the ashram then.) The girl was standing still hiding herself behind the bushes of flower shrubs for a long time – Maharaj was also waiting…!!! breathless excitement!!!
This time, Guru Maharaj came out of His room – instantly a movement was seen in the girl. Noticing this, Maharaj went to Guru Maharaj jumping on his toes and said to Guru Maharaj in the style of speaking of East Bengal, ” Maharas, aage saiben naa. Apnare sjaraiya dharite pare.” ( It means- Maharaj, don’t go ahead. She can hug you.) At first, Guru Maharaj was embarrassed when Swami Tapeshwarananda Maharaj came to Him suddenly jumping like a tiger and said to Him in that manner. And in this opportunity, the girl seriously hugged Guru Maharaj.
The more Guruji said to her, “Who are you? Leave me. Leave me.” the more the girl hugged Guru Maharaj forcibly. In this situation, the girl said to Guru Maharaj, “I have sweet relationship with you.”
Swami Tapeshwarananda Maharaj was also embarrassed. He could not decide what to do.
But Swami Tapeshwarananda Maharaj had no need to decide. What to do, He Himself would surely do!!!
When Guru Maharaj applied a style of Tai chi, a martial art. Her hands were loose. This time, Guruji held her two hands in His one hand and her two legs in the other hand and threw her in the pond at one throw, at least 20/25 hands away from Him.
After then, Guru Maharaj instructed Murari Maharaj to uplift her from the pond and said to him, “The girl has become a patient of mental illness. She needs treatment.”
After this incident, when we asked Guru Maharaj whether He punished her too much. Then Guruji told us, “No one should hit woman. But one will not commit a sin if he/she punishes a wicked woman, even he or she kills an evil woman. There are proofs also. The Lord Sri Krishna killed Putna, the wicked woman and the Lord Sri Ramchandra killed Taraka – the giantess. His brother, Lakshman also cut the nose and ears of Suparnakha, the evil woman.
