Another day, the sitting was being held – Guruji was in His seat and the man devotees in His left side and the woman devotees, just bathed and spreading their hairs on their shoulder, were in His right side – staring steadily at that miracle, great man. All the devotees, present there, were listening to holy speeches, delivered by Him from His majestic voice. At that time, Swapan Khyapa became present in that place. He was wearing a lungi loose – his body bare. Coming there, soon he bowed down his head to Guru Maharaj touching the ground. Sitting there, he was looking here and there and he was blinking his eyes to the young girl devotees. The minor girl devotees were sitting beside their mothers. Besides, Guru Maharaj was in His seat in front of them – as a result, they were feeling ashamed very much. Guru Maharaj understood the uneasiness of the young girl devotees and that’s why He rebuked Swapan, “Hey Swapan, why are you making your eyes dancing? You stand up and leave your seat. Take your seat among the man devotees, now.”
Like an obedient boy, Swapan did so. But he was not able to sit silently much more. We were noticing his fickleness. This time, he stood up. He stood in front of Guruji and he started to sing, dancing and gesturing simultaneously – ” Rup tera mastana. Pyar mera dibana. Bhul koi ham se na, ho jaye.” ( It is a Hindi song from a Hindi movie. It means- ‘Your beauty is mesmerizing/ intoxicating ! My love is becoming insane! I am afraid, l might make a mistake !’) Everyone, present in the sitting, started to smile. Even Guru Maharaj began to smile.
Tyagiji, a highly respectable devotee from northern India, stood in that sitting. ( Perhaps, his house was in Haridwar and Delhi – both the two towns.) He was a teacher of Delhi Model School. We heard that Rajib Gandhi studied in his school. After retiring, he stayed in Banagram Paramananda Mission. In Banagram ashram, he was known as ‘Pitaji’. ( In Bengali, Pita means father.)He taught the ashram boys English. He wrote draft in English of Banagram office if needed. Besides these, he helped Swami Keshabananda Maharaj, the editor of ‘Charaibeti’ magazine of English version, in editing the magazine.
His full name was KailasTyagi. Besides these, he involved himself in a special work – he was translating the books written by Swami Paramananda Maharaj in Hindi. I do not know whether the work was done completely or Charaibeti Karyalay arranged to publish these books.
When all the devotees were smiling, listening to his song- then Tyagiji told in Hindi, his mothertongue, “Bahut bariya. Kaya gana chuna Swapanji. Bahut achchha.Jite raho beta Swapaniya.” ( It means- Oh, very nice! What a nice song you have chosen Swapanji!! Very nice. May you live long, son Swapan.”)
The song ended at last. Guruji clapped while smiling. We also clapped following Him.
Meanwhile, suddenly Swapan started to loosen the knot of his lungi. When Guruji noticed it, He became excited and worried and said to him, “Hey Swapan, will you undress your lungi??? You notice that many woman devotees are sitting here. Do not behave uncivilly. Hey, you do not underers your lungi. Hey, hey – do not undress your lungi, Swapan!!!”
But Swapan undressed his lungi at last.
But what a surprise, he was wearing black shorts upto the knee!!!
Then what the attitude of Swapan was – making the devotees, present there, fool!!! He was looking this and that side and he was smiling also as if he had won a battle!!!
The man who was the creator of this incident, Guruji Himself smiled and told, “You have noticed that Swapan is very much naughty man. Is not it???”
