[We were talking about Bapi’s premature death.]
Hearing those words, that time I came home back. After a week, when I came to Banagram again then I saw that in the south side of the entrance of the ashram- in the south bank of the ashram pond, Chhoto Kaka was talking and smoking ‘bidi’ with Madan Maharaj in the jungle of turmeric plant under a banyan tree. ( The area in which the kitchen and the sadhu barracks are situated now, then in the same place the turmeric plants were cultivated by the ashram authority.)
Taking the slow strides, I went there and stood beside them. ( Chhoto Kaka was senior to me but he behaved towards me like a friend. Actually, Chhoto Kaka was such a man who could make a sweet relationship to anyone very quickly. He was jovial and funny man. While staying at Banagram, when Guru Maharaj went to the Mukherjee house at night, Chhoto Kaka talked too much funny words and made Guru Maharaj laugh.)
I went to them and sat beside them. As a result, their conversation was interrupted. But Chhoto Kaka freed my uneasiness. He said to me, “Come and sit down, Sridhar.” Being bold I asked him, “Are you coming to the ashram now?” He said to me, “I am staying in the ashram now. You know it. And your aunt has been staying here for few days.” I said, “Yes. I had seen this last week. Guruji absorbed her mournings but you were not able to bear it. Then, what tactics Guruji applied on you and absorbed your grief?”
Chhoto Kaka said, “Yes. He has applied. You know it. He applied vital tactics and made me calm.
First few days, I have not come here. But Baba Thakur called me sending Tapi, Hari to me. You know it. Your aunt also said to me that you are having trouble, staying in the house in loneliness- you go to Baba Thakur once. You will see then that you are able to reduce your sorrow much. Besides this, many devotees come to the ashram. Talking to them, you will feel comfortable.
Hari Maharaj, Tapi Maa- all these persons brought me here and forced me to enter Guruji’s cottage. Baba Thakur made me sit in His lap and He started to talk about the results of various activities of my and your aunt’s previous births. After then, He said to me, ‘You must get this mourning. Whether it is in this birth or any other birth. I saw that I am now in this body. You are also present here ( Banagram). Then the incident must happen here so that I can relieve most of your troubles, your mournings.'”
[The next day, “Bapi was ‘Buro Karta’ i.e the father of N’ Kaka of this house. There were many reasons behind this premature death.”]
