Gurumaharaj here explains why the Avatars accept deadly diseases into their divine bodies.
Gurumaharaj : You may analyse this in other ways. But I’m sure that these Avatars mean a lot for improving the condition of the world. Their lives are not like us. Their lives are actually noble missions for human welfare. Their lives are dedicated to human welfare alone. They descend on earth only with this object. They are the Yugavatars. They take human form for resolving issues of a ‘ Yuga’ or an era.
You will be amazed to know that the crucifixion of Jesus Christ also comforted and saved many tormented souls of the contemporary society . Romans used to persecute the plebeians like anything. By the church’s order innocent people were beheaded or burnt alive after tying them with rope. In Rome such inhuman forms of torture was in vogue. The extreme physical torture reminded the victims of the terrible physical abuse of Jesus. They tried to realize how much pain the Son of God must have suffered when he had been hung from the Cross. Many of them died shouting His name repeatedly. In hours of unbearable torture many had the vision of their Lord, Jesus Christ. By remembering Him at the time of death their passage to the higher dimension was thus ensured. In this way their souls were saved even in the darkest hour of their lives. This can even now be experienced if someone remembers Jesus in the moment of crisis.
You will come across such incidents in the life of Joan of Arc as well. There was a Sufi saint named Mansur Al – Hallaj whose tongue was cut off by the order of the emperor for uttering the words ‘ Ana al- Haqq ‘(I am the only Truth). Immediately after that every piece of the tongue started uttering ‘Ana al-Haqq’. When they were again cut into smaller pieces, from them rose the same sound ‘ Ana al-Haqq’. This was the same reason why Rabeya was butchered without even considering the fact that she was a lady.
So, it was not only the case of Sri Ramakrishna’s fatal disease. Whoever intended to work towards the betterment of the human society has to experience sufferings. While someone suffered from some fatal disease, the other one suffered from inhuman punishment falsely sentenced to him. Their only sin was to love people beyond any expectation. Yes they loved everyone selflessly. People always mercilessly killed those who loved them without any expectation. But this is quite an amazing fact that such Avatars again descended on earth. Then the same thing happened to them all over again. Even after that they prayed for you by saying, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” What else the Avatars can say?
