Here in the following excerpt Gurumaharaj talks about Hazrat Muhammad’s life.
Gurumaharaj : Hazrat Muhammad was born when all the small Arab tribes were in conflict with each other. During his adolescence he happened to wander into an inaccessible part of the Himalayas while pasturing his flock of sheep. There he came across an advanced Yogi who initiated him into the rigorous spiritual practices and he eventually became an accomplished master. The people of Arab know only about his childhood and youth. They know all about him from the time of his arrival from Medina when he began uttering the Ayaats. But they know nothing about what he did in the twelve to fourteen years in between his childhood and youth. That was actually the time of his intense Sadhana. Muhammad successfully brought all those nomadic, plundering tribes under the same umbrella. He was the true saviour of the Arabs. This was why he was Hazrat or a great person. He said that Islam was a Mazhab or a sect.
Often we term Hindu, Islam or Christianity as Dharmas. But Dharma is eternal. It never changes with time. From this perspective we can consider Truth as the Dharma. Truth is unchangeable. Truth does not vary from person to person. We create divisions due to our narrow mindedness. We keep on fighting for our religions and Truth . Always remember one thing that Dharma is eternal. So is the Truth. In different countries in different times great saints were born to seek that Truth. Thus, through their spiritual journeys different ideologies developed. Bearing in mind the betterment of the people of a certain place and time they gave some advice and spiritual exercises. Later the bigoted ones tried to preach them without considering their suitability in terms of time, place and persons. To convert everyone to their faith they waged bloody war, fought desperately and caused bloodshed. This is the history down the ages. History records the movements of such ignorant and imbecile persons .
The self realized masters have never done this. They only did what were the most appropriate things for the people of their times. But later their followers strayed from their teachings. I have already suggested that Dharma is eternal and Truth is eternal. All the noble saints of all times know this.
‘Allah’, ‘Hari’, ‘God’, ‘Bhagaban’ are all mere adjectives. They are used to refer to the Supreme.
