Gurumaharaj : One brahmin couple and their children starved themselves to death just to feed Narayana ( The first Avatar of Vishnu) disguising as their guest. Their holy sacrifice pleased Narayana immensely . As a consequence of this great sacrifice, the long term drought condition of that region came to an end bringing rainfall. Gradually the area scorched by copper eyed Sun was plentifully abounded with vegetation and fruits and the dried up lakes, ponds and rivers became brimming.
The mongoose bore witness to the noble sacrifice of the brahmin family. He went to the place where Narayana was fed and rolled about that particular spot. This turned half his body into pure gold and the boon of immortality was bestowed upon him immediately. After this that half golden mongoose went to every place where any kind of sacrificial ritual was performed and rolled his body there and checked if the other half of his body turned golden or not. As in King Yudhisthira’s Rajasuya yagya the other half of his body was not transmuted into gold, he made the comment.
However, Avatars started taking incarnations right from the incarnation of Narayana. The process of taking incarnations took place in Satya, Treta and Dwapar Yugas. It is still taking place even in our Kali Yuga. The process of Life has been guided through various stages of evolution by these holy incarnations.
It will continue even in the days to come. This process keeps on enriching human beings. When humans begin to develop divine qualities, the holy incarnations will no longer be required. At that time the holy incarnations will take place in different ‘fields’ because by then the noble Avatars have completed their task on this planet.

In reply to one’s query about Kalki Avatar Gurumaharaj decoded the symbolic presentation of Kalki Avatar and in connection with that discourse he began talking about the Rajasuya Yagya of King Yudhhisthira and a strange mongoose who was not at all pleased with quality of that Yagya.
