( Gurumaharaj asked his Gurudev Ramanand Avdhoot ji when the miseries of Indians would come to an end. Avdhootji replied pithily , ” Time is very powerful.”)
Gurumaharaj : Just before the beginning of the battle of Kurukshetra Lord Sri Krishna uttered the same words to Vyasadeva. Vyasadeva attempted a reconciliation of the Pandavas and the Kauravas before the battle of Kurukshetra. Both the Pandavas and the Kauravas were the descendants of Vyasadeva. He impregnated Amba and Ambalika, the wives of King Vichitrabirya. So, the battle would only result in the bloodshed of his own descendants. That apart, as a wise man it was his duty to try to stop the war. He directly went to Lord Sri Krishna and entreated him to stop the war. Vyasadeva knew well that nothing was impossible for Sri Krishna, the God incarnate. He was aware of the limitless potential of Lord Sri Krishna who could change the course of any event. So, it was his last ditch effort to convince Lord Sri Krishna to stop the war.
But Sri Krishna was very tactful. Who could ever defeat him by any clever move? Vyasadeva said, ” Lord! What can tell you? You know everything. But I would like to give you a gentle reminder of the terrible consequences of this battle!” It was true that extreme form of violence manifested at the battlefield of Kurukshetra. The soil of Krukshetra was soaked with blood in the fight of brothers against the brothers, Gurus against their disciples, fathers or fatherly persons with their sons. Then Lord Sri Krishna said,” Look, neither do I want the war nor do I want to stop it. I cannot even stop the war listening to your earnest plea! The stiff opposition, jealousy, feeling of vengeance in the one combatant side against the other have created a field of war in the Nature. The war is the fallout of this situation. To defy the law of Nature will generate fierce reaction. Now if we stop this war, there will be some greater loss. This is why the omniscient persons never defy any rule of Nature. They are well aware of the mysteries of cause and effect of the Nature.” He said to Vyasadeva, ” Now we should let this war happen. We all are contained in TIME. How can you deny that? ”
So, Vyasadeva failed to stop this inevitable war.
